As a teacher, a way to respond to diversity is to use multicultural education. Using multicultural education is a way to embrace diversity and combine different ideas. Multicultural education is developed so all students receive equal opportunities regardless of socioeconomic status, gender, sexual orientation, racial and cultural backgrounds. Socioeconomic status includes family income, parents education level, and family occupation. Students being male and female also have an impact, because they both learn differently. Also, one can be teaching students that have different sexual orientation. They can be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.
